CPD Module: Heating Systems Update

Module objectives

Heating is an important requirement of UK properties and consumes a significant part of the UK energy demand. Design of heating systems has improved considerably to ensure compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations to conserve fuel and power. There is a need to demonstrate how good practice is being developed and applied.

The aim of this module is to provide an overview on heating design, summarise latest developments in technology related to heating systems, discuss energy and environmental issues, provide an update on relevant legislation and consider recent health and safety issues.

This module is intended for anyone involved in heating systems whose objective is to keep up to date with the latest trends and advancements, and further their understanding of the environmental considerations.
