Which methods apply & when can recommended methods be potentially dangerous?

Session 3
SPECIAL NEEDS OF OCCUPANTS
Some occupants are less mobile, or must be supervised during evacuation.

  • (a) Office Buildings - Establishes a baseline of acceptability for ordinary populations.
  • (b) Hospitals - Occupants include mobility-impaired & potentially unconscious.
  • (c) Schools - Occupants include children.

Note: Each type of building can include atria & smoke dampers where appropriate.
