A611 How to specify Lighting: Office Lighting - London

Specifying lighting for offices is bound by a complex set of inter-relationships between 'art' and 'science'. The important outcome of this seminar will be an understanding of how the various 'threads' of lighting design fit together. How 'art' and 'science' are linked and how these links are evaluated and processed.
The day will be split into four sessions. The morning sessions will deal with the more general considerations of the interaction of surface and spatial form with light. The afternoon sessions will deal with the particular issues raised by office lighting; how to design for these issues; the selection of lamps, luminaires and controls, and finally the specification.
The whole day will focus on producing innovative and exciting designs that influence and motivate the end user utilising and controlling natural and artificial light due cognisance given to the conservation of energy.
