FAQs

How do I make a booking?

Click on the book a place button on the event screen or if you would prefer call the training department to book a place over the phone 020 8 675 5211 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

How do I login?

Go to the login section at the bottom of the CIBSE training homepage and insert your user name (which will be your email address) and the password that you created when you initially registered with CIBSE online.  If you have not registered as yet, please click on this link below:

How can I pay for my course?

To book your place on a course on line you must pay with a credit card. If you would rather pay by cheque or purchase order please download the booking form and post / email / fax it to us.

I need a receipt for my payment

You will automatically be sent a receipt for your payment; this may take a couple of days. If you need another copy, please call Stacey Dempster in our accounts team (020 8675 5211) and she can reissue one for you.

I can’t attend any more, can I send a colleague in my place?

I would like a certificate of my attendance

You can download this from our website, log on to the My courses area of the site and you will be able to download and print your own certificate.

I am not sure where my event is being held or what time it starts

All our events have different start times and venues, to find out where your event is taking place and what time it starts, log on to the My Courses section of the website and click on the course your attending.

How do I cancel my place on an event?

Our events all have a 14 day cancellation policy, if you want to cancel before 14 days please do so in writing to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . After this deadline we would welcome a substitute delegate.

What is CPD?

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a long term commitment. It means the systematic maintenance, improvement and broadening of your knowledge and skills. It is about learning and putting into practice new competences year after year, and investing in your future. CPD is also about planning, capturing and evaluating your learning and, as your career develops, about assisting the professional development of others.

Why do I need CPD?

All CIBSE members need to maintain their professional competence throughout their career.

I can’t make the conference, can I have the notes from the day?

Notes from most of our conferences are available for sale £10 to cover the administration costs of producing these. Please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
