Low Carbon Consultants Energy Management Systems Register for BS EN 16001

The new Low Carbon Consultants Energy Management Systems register will be specifically for those professionals who wish to be able to demonstrate that they have the specific competencies to enable them to implement a fully compliant and certifiable Energy Management System, meeting the requirements of BS EN 16001 in either their own workplace or for others.

We envisage the LCC Energy Management Systems specialism to become highly valued and sought after given the need for companies to meet new and ever restrictive legislative requirements, ecological requirements and a demand for an ethical approach to the use of diminishing natural resources.

To join the register you must demonstrate competence in BS EN 16001 through training and examination.

This course is for those individuals that wish to learn about the implementation of BS EN 16001. It will not qualify you as an auditor nor will it allow you to become a certifier to the standard except that you may wish to self declare compliance with its requirements.

The training is in two parts:

1) A two-day technical course that covers the technical skills needed to support the planning, creation, and operation of an energy management strategy to BS EN 16001. Download the programme here.

2) A three day management systems course that provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and implement the energy management systems required to meet the requirements of BS EN 16001:2009. Download the programme here.

The 5 day course will culminate in an examination testing both the technical and the management elements of implementing BS EN16001.  This must be passed to enable delegates to join the Low Carbon Consultants Energy Management Register.

As part of the course you will be given a valuable set of management system documents covering the requirements of BS EN 16001.

This course will be appropriate for those who have already completed a Low Carbon Consultant training course.

Cost: 5 day course members £1,500.00 + VAT, non members £1,750.00 + VAT

It is possible to just take the 3 day training on the implementation of the energy management system however it should be noted that the exam will cover both elements of the course.
